Placer offers access to its location data in various methods, to answer the needs of businesses of different sizes or with different data analytics proficiencies.
The Placer Platform
The Placer Platform is a state-of-the-art interactive online dashboard that offers a range of easily accessible on-demand reports, graphs, and visualizations for any location in the U.S.
Customers can export the data displayed on the platform in various file formats (CSV, PDF, SHP, and more). Note that data exports from the platform are only available for the POI, chain, or industry analyzed.
Data integrations
While many customers utilize only the Placer platform, some are looking for access to location analytics on a larger scale, to conduct internal analyses or build proprietary models, dashboards, or applications. In other cases, customers need to generate insights that require a combination of Placer’s data with the customer’s first-party data. For these purposes, Placer offers additional ways to access location data, including Placer Data Feeds and the Placer API
Data Feeds
Placer provides numerous data feeds aimed at enabling streamlined data consumption & analysis within your preferred environment. Each feed is built to align with different use cases, such as analyzing the performance of specific brands, industry trends, migration patterns, and more. Data feeds may be requested via the Placer Marketplace, or from third party marketplace partners like Snowflake or AWS.

API
API (Application Programming Interface) is a tool that enables developers and analysts to extract data programmatically and integrate it into 3rd party applications. Placer’s API allows customers to enrich, filter, or combine location data with proprietary data to support business needs like custom dashboards, internal reporting, and competitive analysis.
