Nearby Activity & Enclosing Property Reports

During your time with Placer, you may come across locations that don't support Property reports. This is because they’re located within dense areas, multistory buildings, or similar locations where foot traffic data is limited or partial and, therefore, can’t be fully processed.

We offer other solutions for these cases so that you’re still able to get valuable insights for your locations:

  • Nearby Activity reports, which show insights for all visits captured within a certain ring radius from your location. These reports will default to 250ft but you have the option of extending the distance. We recommend using this option if your original location is marked due to being in a high-density area or having limited data available.
  • Enclosing Property reports, which show insights into the larger complex that your location is located in. For instance, if a store is located inside a shopping mall, visitation will be reported for the shopping mall itself. We recommend using this option if your original location is marked due to being in an enclosed location or a multistory building.

These solutions will serve as the best comparable proxy to your original location, allowing you to gain a variety of insights about the visitors in the vicinity of your location.

How to use these reports?

With the Nearby Activity and Enclosing Property reports you can gain visibility into:

  • Demographics: Uncover the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your visitors. Explore a diverse range of attributes ranging from household income, age, and gender, to lifestyle preferences, spending patterns, and more - per the datasets enabled in your account.
  • Visitor Journey: Discover the locations and categories that your visitors visited right before and after coming to your location, as well as their favorite places and chains in general.
  • Trade Area: Find out how far visitors are willing to travel to visit your location and which zip codes are generating the most visits.
  • Visits: Identify the times of day, week, and year that tend to have the highest traffic for your location and see how long visitors spend time there.
In some cases, you might be able to create a Custom POI for these locations to access their visitation metrics. However, you must take into consideration that Custom POIs are not fully processed or verified according to our POI verification process.
